Marie Saucier, who was called Mary by her family, was born in about September of 1827 at Delisle, the second daughter and sixth child born to Pierre Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise. Marie was the granddaughter of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, first great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. She married William Terrell, a widower with two children. He was born in 1815 in Georgia. They were married in Mississippi on June 11, 1846, and they had eleven children during their marriage. He was the son of Josiah Terrell of North Carolina and Lucena Swilley of Georgia, who had moved to Harrison County, Mississippi. Marie and William Terrell first made their home in Rapides Parish and later in Vernon Parish in Louisiana. Their children, eleven sons, were Morgan, David, Josiah, Wiley, Woodard, William, John, Norvel Roberson, Jasper, Newton and Bazzel Terrell. Marie died in about 1880 or 1881 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana and William died there in May of 1900. In 1874 her father Pierre at his death left her the sum of five dollars in his will for reasons known only to him.
Morgan Franklin Terrell was the first born of the twelve children of Marie Saucier and William Terrell was born on June 1, 1847, in Louisiana and died in about 1910 in Louisiana at about sixty-three. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Morgan at age twenty-four years on December 28, 1871, married fourteen-year-old Lucinda Nichols who was born on April 7, 1857, and died May 31, 1940, in Rapides Parish, Louisiana at age eighty-three. She was the daughter of James Turner Nichols and Mary Ann Creel. The children of Morgan and Lucinda were William Sylvester, Minnie Minerva, Albert, Nellie, Ether Crocket, and Maude Terrell.
David E. Terrell was the second child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell. He was born on May 27, 1848. His death date is unknown. David was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary.He married Mahala Nichols on March 19, 1872 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. Mahala was born in about 1853. They had one known son, Joseph Terrell.
Josiah P. Terrell was the third child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell. Josiah was born on January 21, 1850 and died on November 12, 1923 at age seventy-three. Josiah was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. He married Sarah Nichols on September 8, 1975 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. She was born in about 1854 and died on January 19, 1931 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana at age seventy-seven. Josiah was twenty-five and Sarah twenty-one when they married on September 8, 1875 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. Sarah was the daughter of John Nichols and Eliza Register. Josiah and Sarah had six children, Emma, Edward Van Buren, Joseph Lee, Charles Irvin, Arthur Mack, and Heyward Cornelius Terrell.
Wiley Hanley Terrell was the fourth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell. Wiley was born on July 8, 1851 and died at age sixty-seven on July 28, 1918 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. Willey was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. He married twenty-six year old Francis Orcola Nichols on October 7, 1876 when he was twenty-five years old. They had nine children, John William, Martha Ann, Newton Bernard, Elijah Willis, Lydia, Francis Orcola, Janie Parenthena, and Wiley Terrell.
Woodard Terrell was the fifth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born on November 25, 1852 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. The date of his death or any marriage information is unknown. William Sylvester Terrell, Jr. was the sixth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born in Rapids Parish, Louisiana on January 16, 1854. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. On November 5, 1891, he married Fannie Strancer in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. William was thirty-seven years old and Fannie who was born in 1869 was twenty-two years old at the time of their marriage. Death dates for William and Fannie are not known. William and Fannie had seven children, Luther, Martha, Lottie, Laurel, George, Archie and Gladdis Terrell.

He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle At age thirty-nine he married sixteen year old Mary Florence Martin on February 12, 1895 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. Mary was the daughter of John Rufus Martin and Rhoda McFarlan of Louisiana. John Marion Terrell died at age sixty-seven and Mary Florence Martin Terrell at age seventy-four, both in Allen Parish, Louisiana. John and Mary had six children, John Warren, Rufus Emerson, Mitchell Elton, Martha Lillie, Mary Elzerah Sadie, and Frank Berry Terrell.
Norvel Roberson Terrell was the eighth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born on February 18, 1858 in Rapids Parish and died on April 21, 1940 in Pineville, Rapids Parish, Louisiana, at the age of eighty-two. Norvel was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Norvel, age twenty-one, married Frances Rebecca Crawford; age twenty-nine, in about 1879 in Rapids Parish. Norvel and Francis had eight children, William Franklin, Willie, Jesse, James Norvel, Robert Crawford, Robert, Elijah Matt, and Lucy Terrell.
Jasper Terrell was the ninth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born September 16, 1860 and died February 8, 1945 in Arkansas. Jasper was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Jasper married in 1892, her last name is unknown, but her first name was Cora and she was born in December of 1874. They had five children, Joseph Leithead, Mertie, Nathaniel, Jasper and Myrtle Terrell.
Newton Terrell was the tenth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born September 5, 1862 and died on February13, 1951. Newton was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. He married Caroline Carruth who was born on November 11, 1861 and died on February 19, 1942 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. Newton and Caroline had two known daughters, Lucy Alva, and Cora Terrell.
Bazzel Terrell was the eleventh child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell. Basil was born on November 26, 1869 in Louisiana and died on March 13, 1964 in Louisiana. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Bazzel married Josephine Kees who was born on September 23, 1878 Louisiana and died there on June 8, 1964. Bazzel was twenty-five years old and Josephine was sixteen years old when they married in 1895. They had seven children, Lilly Ola, Mary Philona, John William, Fred Napoleon, Jessie, Perry Newton, and Otha Charles Terrell.
Phillip Noel Saucier, seventh child of Pierre and Isabelle Nicaise Saucier was born on August 15, 1829 at Delisle and died December 9, 1885 in Saucier, Mississippi. Phillip Noel was the grandson of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, first great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. In 1855, at the age of twenty-six, he married Matilda Wilcox, born in 1835. They had three children, two known, Henry and Dicey Saucier. They made their home in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. Philippe Noel served in the Confederate Army with the third Mississippi Infantry during the Civil War. Phillip was another of Pierre's children that he slighted in his will at his death for some unknown reason as he was left the sum of only five dollars.
Jean Jacques Saucier, called Jacques, the eighth child of Pierre and Isabelle Nicaise Saucier was born at Delisle on June 17, 1830. Jean Jacques was the grandson of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, first great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. In 1867, at the age of thirty-seven, he married Adelaide Guillot who was born in 1836. They had one known child, a daughter, named Marguerite Celeste Saucier. Jean Jacques died on November 6, 1902. At the death of his father, Jacques was left the sum of five dollars in his father's will. No one knows why Pierre decided to slight his son in his will while bequeathing others land and cattle.
Desideria Desiree Saucier, called Desiree, was born on May 8, 1832 at Delisle to Pierre and Isabelle Nicaise Saucier, their ninth child. Desideria was the granddaughter of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, first great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. In 1851 she married Samuel S. Swilley, born on March 28, 1828. He was the son of Reason Swilley and Mary Terrell of Georgia. They had seven children, Rezin Theophilus, Pierre, Setleff, Samuel, Christopher Columbus and Edmund Swilley. Desiree died on February 9, 1915 at the age of eighty-three and Samuel died on April 6, 1903 at the age of seventy-five. Desiree, at her father's death was left 40 acres of land and 30 head of cattle in his will, while leaving several other children only five dollars each.
Rezin (Reeves) Theophilus Swilley, born November 9, 1852, was the first child and son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. He was baptized on June 17, 1873, at the Church of the Annunciation in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, his baptismal sponsors were Father Meerschaert, pastor of the church, and Anna Morin. He died in 1888 in Stone County, Mississippi at age thirty-six. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. On January 13, 1876 at age twenty-three he married thirty-three year old Elizabeth Head who was born in 1844 and died on December 2, 1892 at age forty-eight in Pearl River County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Ira Head and Mary Campbell of Missouri. Reeves and Elizabeth had six children, Zellen, Elliott, Melvin Monroe, Bernard Rudolph, Evelena Leona, and Cincinnati Swilley.

Samuel Sherman Swilley was the fourth child and son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. Samuel was born on 8 Sept 1866 and died in about 1885 at about nineteen years of age. Samuel was baptized on June 17, 1873 at the Church of the Annunciation in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, his baptismal sponsors were Paulina Morin and Theophilus Swilley. Christopher was baptized on June 17, 1873 at the Church of the Annunciation in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, his baptismal sponsors were Elizabeth Moore and Pierre Saucier. He died on January 3, 1943 at age seventy-three. Christopher was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Christopher at age thirty married twenty-year-old Mary Madeline Wood who was born on January 1, 1880, and died on February 24, 1976, in Gulfport, Mississippi at age ninety-six. She was the daughter of George Wood and Lizzie Wood. Christopher and Mary had seven children, Samuel Sherman, Esther, Grace Elenor, Luther, Daisy, Fomby, Floyd, and Mildred Swilley.
Edmund Delmas Swilley was the sixth child and son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. He was born on February 14, 1871, and died on January 2, 1938, at age sixty-six. Edmund was baptized on June 15, 1873, at the Church of the Annunciation in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, his baptismal sponsors were Edmund Fayard and Elizabeth Saucier. Edmund was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. In 1899 at age twenty-eight Edmund married eighteen-year-old Maloney Lonie Hickman who was born in 1881 and died in 1947 at age sixty-six. Edmund and Maloney had eight children, Delia, Henry, Iduma, Carlie, Jesse James, Lila, Lema, and Alma Swilley.
Samuel Bernard Saucier, known as Bernard in the family was the next to the youngest and tenth child of Pierre and Isabelle Nicaise Saucier; he was born in Delisle on Aug 21, 1835. Samuel Bernard was the grandson of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, a great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. On January 1, 1862 he married Martha Ann Moore; daughter of Michael C. Moore, a Methodist Minister, and Caroline Matilda Gordon; she was born on April 8, 1843. The local newspaper reported in August of 1921 on the seventy-eighth birthday Celebration of Martha Ann and her twin brother George Moore, saying “a birthday celebration of twins at this age is unusual”. Her twin brother would survive Martha Ann by about seven years. Samuel and Martha had nine children, Idelle Matilda, Albert Bernard, Louisa Melvina, Martha Sidonie, George Alonzo, Lucius Washington, Theodosia, Adelia and Ephraim Talmadge Saucier. Samuel Bernard was covered in the story about the settlement of Saucier and the establishment of the town of Saucier, Mississippi. Samuel Bernard Saucier also established the very first Post Office at the community of Saucier. Bernard was to add considerably to his land holding over the years. Bernard was left 40 acres of land and 30 head of cattle in his father's will which was probated in 1874. Samuel Bernard died on November 26, 1911, at his home in Saucier and Martha died on April 24, 1922, at their home in Saucier after a long illness.
Idella Matilda Saucier, born on Dec 16, 1862, in Saucier died Aug 5, 1910, in Gulfport was the first born and first daughter of Samuel Bernard Saucier and Martha Ann Moore. Idella, who never married, died after a long illness in the Hospital at Gulfport, Mississippi. She was forty-seven years old at the time of her death. Idella was a granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary.
Albert Bernard Saucier was born on October 6, 1864 at Saucier and died there in 1908 at age forty-four. Albert was the first born son and second child born to Samuel Bernard Saucier and Martha Ann Moore, the founders of the town of Saucier, Mississippi. Albert Bernard was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. On June 24, 1886, he married Sarah Louise Walker, known as "Sadie" in Harrison County, Mississippi. Bernard was twenty-one years old and Sadie was nineteen years old when they married and settled at Saucier. Sarah Louise was born on August 25, 1866, and died on March 16, 1945, at Saucier, Mississippi at age seventy-eight. Albert worked for his father, Samuel Bernard, in the family's general store and lumber mill. In 1893 Albert was appointed by the United States Postal Service as the first Postmaster and clerk for the town of Saucier through the efforts of his father, who had run the town’s Postal Service from its inception. The new post office that Albert presided over was established inside his father's general store before a new building was later constructed. Contrary to some reports, Bernard's wife Sadie was never the Postmistress of the Post Office at Saucier, but probably did help Albert in its operations. When Albert's four year term expired he was succeeded by his brother Lucius Saucier as Saucier's Postmaster. The position of Postmaster and clerk was filled by other family members well into the 1930's according to the records of the U. S. Postal Service. Albert and Sadie raised nine children during their marriage, Weems Aurelious, Irvin Albert, Irene Idelia, Ewart Ellis, Samuel Bernard, and Beeson Pickett Saucier.

Wiley Hanley Terrell was the fourth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell. Wiley was born on July 8, 1851 and died at age sixty-seven on July 28, 1918 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. Willey was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. He married twenty-six year old Francis Orcola Nichols on October 7, 1876 when he was twenty-five years old. They had nine children, John William, Martha Ann, Newton Bernard, Elijah Willis, Lydia, Francis Orcola, Janie Parenthena, and Wiley Terrell.
Woodard Terrell was the fifth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born on November 25, 1852 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. The date of his death or any marriage information is unknown. William Sylvester Terrell, Jr. was the sixth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born in Rapids Parish, Louisiana on January 16, 1854. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. On November 5, 1891, he married Fannie Strancer in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. William was thirty-seven years old and Fannie who was born in 1869 was twenty-two years old at the time of their marriage. Death dates for William and Fannie are not known. William and Fannie had seven children, Luther, Martha, Lottie, Laurel, George, Archie and Gladdis Terrell.
John Marion Terrell was the seventh child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born on December 26, 1855 in Rapids Parish and died on May 9, 1923 in Allen Parish, Louisiana. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle At age thirty-nine he married sixteen year old Mary Florence Martin on February 12, 1895 in Rapids Parish, Louisiana. Mary was the daughter of John Rufus Martin and Rhoda McFarlan of Louisiana. John Marion Terrell died at age sixty-seven and Mary Florence Martin Terrell at age seventy-four, both in Allen Parish, Louisiana. John and Mary had six children, John Warren, Rufus Emerson, Mitchell Elton, Martha Lillie, Mary Elzerah Sadie, and Frank Berry Terrell.
Norvel Roberson Terrell was the eighth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born on February 18, 1858 in Rapids Parish and died on April 21, 1940 in Pineville, Rapids Parish, Louisiana, at the age of eighty-two. Norvel was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Norvel, age twenty-one, married Frances Rebecca Crawford; age twenty-nine, in about 1879 in Rapids Parish. Norvel and Francis had eight children, William Franklin, Willie, Jesse, James Norvel, Robert Crawford, Robert, Elijah Matt, and Lucy Terrell.
Jasper Terrell was the ninth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born September 16, 1860 and died February 8, 1945 in Arkansas. Jasper was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Jasper married in 1892, her last name is unknown, but her first name was Cora and she was born in December of 1874. They had five children, Joseph Leithead, Mertie, Nathaniel, Jasper and Myrtle Terrell.
Newton Terrell was the tenth child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell; he was born September 5, 1862 and died on February13, 1951. Newton was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. He married Caroline Carruth who was born on November 11, 1861 and died on February 19, 1942 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. Newton and Caroline had two known daughters, Lucy Alva, and Cora Terrell.
Bazzel Terrell was the eleventh child of Marie Saucier and William Terrell. Basil was born on November 26, 1869 in Louisiana and died on March 13, 1964 in Louisiana. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Bazzel married Josephine Kees who was born on September 23, 1878 Louisiana and died there on June 8, 1964. Bazzel was twenty-five years old and Josephine was sixteen years old when they married in 1895. They had seven children, Lilly Ola, Mary Philona, John William, Fred Napoleon, Jessie, Perry Newton, and Otha Charles Terrell.
Phillip Noel Saucier, seventh child of Pierre and Isabelle Nicaise Saucier was born on August 15, 1829 at Delisle and died December 9, 1885 in Saucier, Mississippi. Phillip Noel was the grandson of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, first great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. In 1855, at the age of twenty-six, he married Matilda Wilcox, born in 1835. They had three children, two known, Henry and Dicey Saucier. They made their home in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. Philippe Noel served in the Confederate Army with the third Mississippi Infantry during the Civil War. Phillip was another of Pierre's children that he slighted in his will at his death for some unknown reason as he was left the sum of only five dollars.
Jean Jacques Saucier, called Jacques, the eighth child of Pierre and Isabelle Nicaise Saucier was born at Delisle on June 17, 1830. Jean Jacques was the grandson of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, first great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. In 1867, at the age of thirty-seven, he married Adelaide Guillot who was born in 1836. They had one known child, a daughter, named Marguerite Celeste Saucier. Jean Jacques died on November 6, 1902. At the death of his father, Jacques was left the sum of five dollars in his father's will. No one knows why Pierre decided to slight his son in his will while bequeathing others land and cattle.
Desideria Desiree Saucier, called Desiree, was born on May 8, 1832 at Delisle to Pierre and Isabelle Nicaise Saucier, their ninth child. Desideria was the granddaughter of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, first great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. In 1851 she married Samuel S. Swilley, born on March 28, 1828. He was the son of Reason Swilley and Mary Terrell of Georgia. They had seven children, Rezin Theophilus, Pierre, Setleff, Samuel, Christopher Columbus and Edmund Swilley. Desiree died on February 9, 1915 at the age of eighty-three and Samuel died on April 6, 1903 at the age of seventy-five. Desiree, at her father's death was left 40 acres of land and 30 head of cattle in his will, while leaving several other children only five dollars each.
Rezin (Reeves) Theophilus Swilley, born November 9, 1852, was the first child and son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. He was baptized on June 17, 1873, at the Church of the Annunciation in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, his baptismal sponsors were Father Meerschaert, pastor of the church, and Anna Morin. He died in 1888 in Stone County, Mississippi at age thirty-six. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. On January 13, 1876 at age twenty-three he married thirty-three year old Elizabeth Head who was born in 1844 and died on December 2, 1892 at age forty-eight in Pearl River County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Ira Head and Mary Campbell of Missouri. Reeves and Elizabeth had six children, Zellen, Elliott, Melvin Monroe, Bernard Rudolph, Evelena Leona, and Cincinnati Swilley.
Pierre Swilley was the second born son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. Pierre was born August 15, 1854 and died in about 1870 at about the age of sixteen. Setleff Swilley was the third child and son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. Setleff was born on February 9, 1859, and died in about 1875 in Wiggins, Mississippi at about sixteen years of age. He was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary.
Mary Elizabeth Swilley was the third child and daughter of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. Mary was born on May 17, 1863 and died on February 19, 1926 in Stone County, Mississippi at age sixty-two. Mary Elizabeth was a granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Twenty-four year old Mary married twenty-four year old Henry Clay Jordan on June 8, 1887. He was the son of William David Jordan and Martha Browning. Mary and Henry had five children, Ruth, Henry Gomer, George Washington, Mary Elizabeth, and Ester Jordan.
Samuel Sherman Swilley was the fourth child and son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. Samuel was born on 8 Sept 1866 and died in about 1885 at about nineteen years of age. Samuel was baptized on June 17, 1873 at the Church of the Annunciation in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, his baptismal sponsors were Paulina Morin and Theophilus Swilley. Samuel was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary.
Christopher Columbus Swilley was the fifth child and son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley and was born on June 19 1869. Christopher was baptized on June 17, 1873 at the Church of the Annunciation in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, his baptismal sponsors were Elizabeth Moore and Pierre Saucier. He died on January 3, 1943 at age seventy-three. Christopher was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Christopher at age thirty married twenty-year-old Mary Madeline Wood who was born on January 1, 1880, and died on February 24, 1976, in Gulfport, Mississippi at age ninety-six. She was the daughter of George Wood and Lizzie Wood. Christopher and Mary had seven children, Samuel Sherman, Esther, Grace Elenor, Luther, Daisy, Fomby, Floyd, and Mildred Swilley.
Edmund Delmas Swilley was the sixth child and son of Desideria Saucier and Samuel S. Swilley. He was born on February 14, 1871, and died on January 2, 1938, at age sixty-six. Edmund was baptized on June 15, 1873, at the Church of the Annunciation in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, his baptismal sponsors were Edmund Fayard and Elizabeth Saucier. Edmund was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. In 1899 at age twenty-eight Edmund married eighteen-year-old Maloney Lonie Hickman who was born in 1881 and died in 1947 at age sixty-six. Edmund and Maloney had eight children, Delia, Henry, Iduma, Carlie, Jesse James, Lila, Lema, and Alma Swilley.
Samuel Bernard Saucier, known as Bernard in the family was the next to the youngest and tenth child of Pierre and Isabelle Nicaise Saucier; he was born in Delisle on Aug 21, 1835. Samuel Bernard was the grandson of Philippe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, a great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and the third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. On January 1, 1862 he married Martha Ann Moore; daughter of Michael C. Moore, a Methodist Minister, and Caroline Matilda Gordon; she was born on April 8, 1843. The local newspaper reported in August of 1921 on the seventy-eighth birthday Celebration of Martha Ann and her twin brother George Moore, saying “a birthday celebration of twins at this age is unusual”. Her twin brother would survive Martha Ann by about seven years. Samuel and Martha had nine children, Idelle Matilda, Albert Bernard, Louisa Melvina, Martha Sidonie, George Alonzo, Lucius Washington, Theodosia, Adelia and Ephraim Talmadge Saucier. Samuel Bernard was covered in the story about the settlement of Saucier and the establishment of the town of Saucier, Mississippi. Samuel Bernard Saucier also established the very first Post Office at the community of Saucier. Bernard was to add considerably to his land holding over the years. Bernard was left 40 acres of land and 30 head of cattle in his father's will which was probated in 1874. Samuel Bernard died on November 26, 1911, at his home in Saucier and Martha died on April 24, 1922, at their home in Saucier after a long illness.
Idella Matilda Saucier, born on Dec 16, 1862, in Saucier died Aug 5, 1910, in Gulfport was the first born and first daughter of Samuel Bernard Saucier and Martha Ann Moore. Idella, who never married, died after a long illness in the Hospital at Gulfport, Mississippi. She was forty-seven years old at the time of her death. Idella was a granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary.
Albert Bernard Saucier was born on October 6, 1864 at Saucier and died there in 1908 at age forty-four. Albert was the first born son and second child born to Samuel Bernard Saucier and Martha Ann Moore, the founders of the town of Saucier, Mississippi. Albert Bernard was a grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. On June 24, 1886, he married Sarah Louise Walker, known as "Sadie" in Harrison County, Mississippi. Bernard was twenty-one years old and Sadie was nineteen years old when they married and settled at Saucier. Sarah Louise was born on August 25, 1866, and died on March 16, 1945, at Saucier, Mississippi at age seventy-eight. Albert worked for his father, Samuel Bernard, in the family's general store and lumber mill. In 1893 Albert was appointed by the United States Postal Service as the first Postmaster and clerk for the town of Saucier through the efforts of his father, who had run the town’s Postal Service from its inception. The new post office that Albert presided over was established inside his father's general store before a new building was later constructed. Contrary to some reports, Bernard's wife Sadie was never the Postmistress of the Post Office at Saucier, but probably did help Albert in its operations. When Albert's four year term expired he was succeeded by his brother Lucius Saucier as Saucier's Postmaster. The position of Postmaster and clerk was filled by other family members well into the 1930's according to the records of the U. S. Postal Service. Albert and Sadie raised nine children during their marriage, Weems Aurelious, Irvin Albert, Irene Idelia, Ewart Ellis, Samuel Bernard, and Beeson Pickett Saucier.
