Jeanne Gabrielle Sansot
Daughter of  Jean Baptiste Sansot and Marie Gabrielle Savary
After the death of her second husband, Pierre Vifvarenne at Fort Louis in Colonial Mobile sometime in 1719, Gabrielle remarried for a third time in 1720 to Jean Baptiste Sansot of France, a Corporal in the French Army at the fort in Mobile, and they had one daughter, Jeanne Gabrielle Sansot who was born at Mobile shortly before the death of her father Jean Baptiste Sansot in 1721. Jean Baptiste Sansot was born in about 1685 and died at Mobile in 1721 at age thirty-five, leaving Gabrielle a widow for the third time.

Jeanne Gabrielle Sansot was the only child born to Gabrielle Savary, the widow Saucier, and her third husband Jean Baptiste Sansot. She was born in Mobile at Fort Louis on October 18, 1721 and died on May 22, 1726 in New Orleans, age four years. Jean Gabrielle’s godfather was Jean Valade dit Latour and her godmother was Jeanne Guevroure both of  Mobile. Jean Gabrielle’s death was a few years after the family moved to New Orleans from Mobile. The cause of her death and place of burial in not known. It is possible she was also reinterred when the early burials on the river front were moved to St. Louis Cathedral, as was Gabrielle. She is not listed among the children in the 1727 request made to the Louisiana government by Gabrielle to move her family to St. Domingue in the Caribbean.  Only Gabrielle’s four sons were listed in that request. No further records are available for her. She was also not listed in the Succession (Will) Papers for Gabrielle when she died in 1735, only her four sons were listed in those papers.
