Pierre "Pier" Saucier, Jr., the oldest child of Pierre Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise was born on April 1, 1819 in Delisle. Pierre "Pier" was the grandson of Phillipe Pierre and Ursula Grelot, a great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, second great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and he was a third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. He was married twice, first at age twenty-one to twenty year old Mary Jane Smith sometime in the year of 1840 in Hancock County; she was born on September 21, 1820 and died in 1858 at the age of 38. They had eight children, Calvin Pierre, Randolph, Laura, John Alvin, Louise, Edwin, Mary and William Saucier before her death. On October 24, 1867, widowed, he married his second wife, twenty-nine year old Elizabeth Perkins Moore who was born on September 10, 1838 in Perry County. Elizabeth, a widow with one daughter, was the daughter of Samuel Albert Perkins and Catherine Smith. Pier and Elizabeth had eight children, Charles, Mary Ovilia, Louis, Marie, Annabel, Pierre, Phillip Eugene and Bertrand Ellis Saucier during their marriage. On May 11, 1895, age 76, Pierre, a Confederate veteran, passed away while living in the old Confederate soldier’s home at Beauvoir, the Jefferson Davis Home and was buried in the Saucier Cemetery in Saucier. Pierre had enlisted in Company H, 3rd Mississippi Infantry as a 2nd Lieutenant on September 4, 1861 and was discharged from the Confederate Army on April 26, 1865. Pier, as he was known, was left in his father's will 40 acres of land and 30 head of cattle at his death. Elizabeth Perkins Saucier died in Hancock County on February 6, 1902 at age sixty-three. Elizabeth Perkins, the widow of William Moore, had one daughter Charity Ann Moore when she married Pier. Her daughter, Charity, was five years old when Elizabeth and Pier married and was raised by Pier. In 1884 Charity married Henry Evariste Saucier, a nephew of Pier's and a son of his brother Narcisse Edouard Saucier.
Calvin Pierre Saucier was the first child and first son born to Pierre "Pier" Saucier and his first wife Mary Jane Smith. Calvin Pierre was the grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Calvin Pierre was born in Harrison County, Mississippi in 1841 and died in the Battle of Jackson, Mississippi during the Civil War on July 1, 1864 at the age of twenty-three years. He enlisted in the Confederate Army at Handsboro, Mississippi as a Private in Adams Rifles which was part of the 20th Mississippi Infantry. Calvin Pierre was the first of the two sons of Pierre and Mary Jane to be killed during the Civil War.
Randolph Saucier was the second child and second son of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith. Randolph was born in Harrison County, Mississippi in 1843 and died on April 17, 1865 in New Orleans during the Civil War. He was 22 years of age. Randolph was the grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and his fourth great grandparents were Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Randolph was the second son that Pierre and Mary Jane lost in the Civil War after having lost Calvin, their oldest in 1864. Randolph enlisted in the Confederate States Army on August 19, 1862 at Grenada, Mississippi in Russell's Regiment of Mississippi Volunteers, which became Company E., 20th Regiment of the Mississippi Infantry. One service card shows Randolph as absent, sick, without leave, having left the Company at Jackson, Mississippi on July 9, 1863. The last service card that is available is for September and October of 1863 and shows him as absent and at home in Harrison County, Mississippi. No further service cards or information on his situation is available. It is believed that he returned to his Harrison County, Mississippi home and later joined the Union Army as a private in Company H, 1st Louisiana Infantry at New Orleans. His pension card with next of kin, his father Pier Saucier, has been located for his Union service. He died of Pneumonia at St. Louis Hospital in New Orleans according to Union records and is buried in Chalmette National Cemetery at New Orleans. Some genealogies show him as married to Eliza Ann, unknown maiden name, who was born in about 1848 and died in1928, but no information has been found to validate his marriage or any possible descendants of that marriage. No other information for Randolph is known at this time.
Laura Elizabeth Saucier was the third child and first daughter born to Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith. She was born on December 30, 1845 and she died on April 21, 1912 at the age of sixty-seven years. Laura was the granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, a second great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, the third great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Laura at age twenty-two married twenty-three year old Rufus M. Bond on July 16, 1868 in Harrison County. He was born on July 16, 1845 and died on March 11, 1918 at age seventy-two. Rufus was the son of Carroll Bond and Julia Ann Terrell of Leesville, Louisiana. Laura Saucier and Rufus had eleven children during their marriage, John Carroll, Mary Louise, Julia Ann, Juliann, Delphine, Martha Ann, Delilah Jane, Lorenzo, Emma, Elizabeth and Loren Bond.
John Carroll Bond was born on 4 May 1869 in Perkinston, Mississippi and died on April 29, 1940 in McHenry, Mississippi at the age of seventy. John was the son of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and he was a fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. On December 17, 1895 at age twenty-six he married eighteen year old Cora Isabelle Jordan, daughter of William Thompson Jordan and Mary McQueen. She was born on June 30, 1877 in Harrison County and died on October 13, 1958 in Jackson, Mississippi at age eighty-one. John and Cora had thirteen children, Laura Elizabeth, William Rufus, Grace Viola, Isham Monroe, Alva Isabelle, Verda Atkee, Bankston Vardaman, Una Estelle, Lemuel Lamar, Winifred Wynona, Woodrow Wilson, George Austin, and Edna Eloise Bond.
Mary Louise Bond, born in about 1870 and died in about 1961, was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Mary married Raymond Gallotte (Guillotte) who was born in about 1873, the son of Julius Bartholmy Gallotte and Josephine Quave (Cuevas). They had one known child, a daughter, Winnie Gallotte (Guillotte).
Julia Ann Bond, born January 8, 1873 and who died on June 18, 1928 at age fifty-five, was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. She married on February 28, 1895 Albert Gallion Bond. Albert was born on September 29, 1871 and died on August 4, 1903 at age fifty-five. He was the son of Dekalb Bond and Zilpha Jane Hickman of Flint Creek. They had one known daughter, Lilly Viola Bond.
Julianne Bond, born in May of 1875, and who died at age twenty-one in 1896 was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith. She was the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. No additional information is known on Julianne.
Delphine Bond was born on January 19, 1876 and died on April 20, 1956 at age seventy-nine. On April 25, 1900 at age twenty-three she married Washington Preston (Prentiss) Thomas. He was born in August of 1872, and died in February of 1941 at Gulfport at the age of sixty-eight. Prentiss was the son of Green Young Thomas and Mary T. Evans. Delphine was a daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Delphine and Prentiss had three children, Adolph, Helen Corinne, and Alma Ruth Thomas.
Martha Ann Bond, born on February 14, 1877, died on July 17, 1932 at the age of fifty-five at Mont Belvieu, Texas. She was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. She married twice, first at the age of nineteen to John R. Hestor, age twenty-three, on September 17, 1897 in Harrison County, Mississippi. He was born on December 11, 1772 in Harrison County, Mississippi and died at Houston, Texas on July 12, 1932 at age fifty-nine. He was the son of Americus Hestor and Josephine Head. Martha and John had two daughters, Mary and Velma Hestor. On April 19, 1922, at age forty-five, she married at Goose Creek, Harris County, Texas her second husband Oscar Alphons Wimberley, age forty-seven, who was born April 1, 1875 in Goose Creek, Texas and died at age sixty-one on August 6, 1936 in Goose Creek, Texas. He was the son of John William Wimberley.
Delia Jane Bond was born on Jan 26, 1879 and died on Jul 23, 1962 in Stone County, Mississippi at age eighty-three. She was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. She married William L. Hickman who was born on September 22, 1880 and died on June 6, 1968 at age eighty-four in Stone County. William was the son of Albert George Dawson Hickman and Canady Bond. Delia and William had five children, William Alvin, Myra Laura, Albert Rufus, Woodrow, and Daisy Hickman.
Lorenzo Loren Bond was born on August 18, 1881 and died on November 14, 1948 at age sixty-seven. He was the son of Laura Elizabeth Saucier and Rufus Bond, grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and he was a fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Lorenzo at the age of twenty-six on September 3, 1907 married seventeen year old Ovenia H. Ladner. Ovenia was born on February 14, 1890 and she died on February 28, 1963. She was the daughter of Thomas Vital Ladner and Beurisa Theresa Richards. Their three children are, Gladys Pearl, Rufus L., and Henrietta Bond.
Emma Espose Bond was born on August 8, 1883 in Harrison County and died on September 12, 1941 at Laurel, Mississippi at the age of fifty-eight. Emma was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. She married John Dugal Dees who was born on April 15, 1875 and died August 5, 1944 in Laurel, Mississippi at the age of sixty-nine. He was the son of Henry Isom Dees and Nancy Missouria Calhoun. No descendants names have been found to this date.
Elizabeth S. Bond, known as Betty, was born on October 15, 1885 in Harrison County and died on March 21, 1951 at Laurel, Mississippi at the age of fifty-eight. Elizabeth, who went by the name Betty, was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. At the age of thirty-two, Elizabeth married twenty-four year old Daniel L. Russell on February 26, 1919 in Harrison County, Mississippi. Daniel died at on February 25, 1929 at the age of thirty-four. No other information is known.
Loren Bond, born April 21, 1889, and who died in June of 1962 at age seventy-four was the son of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith. Loren was also the great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and he was a fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. He married Sinnia Elizabeth Preston from Greene County, Mississippi. Sinnia was born December 30, 1896, and died in March of 1978 at the age of seventy-four in Harrison County, Mississippi. Sinnia was a daughter of James Henry Preston and Lenorah Lankford of Greene County, Mississippi. Loren and Sinnia had six children, Edythe Evelyn, Dorothy Louise, Lamar, Eula Laura, Rufus, and Violet Marie Bond.
John Alvin Saucier, the fourth child and third son of Pierre "Pier" and Mary Jane Smith was born on March 8, 1846, and died on October 8, 1931, at the Jefferson Davis Old Soldiers' Home, Beauvoir at Biloxi, Mississippi. John Alvin was eighty-five years old at the time of his death. John Alvin was the grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. On September 28, 1876, at the age of thirty, he married fifteen-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. Sarah was born on April 10, 1861, and died on April 25, 1938, in the hospital at the Jefferson Davis Old Soldiers' Home, Beauvoir, at Biloxi after a long illness. Sarah was seventy-six years old at the time of her death. John Alvin and Sarah Dobson Saucier had entered the Old Soldiers home together on October 20, 1929 and resided there until their deaths. John Alvin Saucier enlisted as a private in the Confederate Army and served the entire four years of the war as a member of Company E of the 20th Mississippi Infantry Regiment. John and Sarah had eleven children, Laomia Lorenzo, Mary Margina, Nolan Louis, Daniel Lee, Roselia, Grover, Fairfax, Mary Jane, Talmage Dewitt and Louis Saucier.
Laomia Lorenzo Saucier was the son of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson who was born on June 21, 1877, and he died in April of 1964 at the age of eighty-six. Laomia was a grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Laomia married Fannie Hilda Rogers who was born on August 21, 1880 and died in August of 1934 at Collins, Mississippi at the age of fifty-four. Hilda was the daughter of Norvel Marion Rogers and Ellen Amanda Norwood of Covington County. Laomia and Hilda had five children, Willie, Minnie Rivers, Gladys, Evelyn, and Kenneth Saucier.
Mary Margina Saucier was the daughter of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. She was born on August 15, 1879, and she died on September 28, 1955, at age fifty-six. Mary was the granddaughter Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; she was a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Mary was married on March 26, 1893, at age thirteen, to Armogene R. Ladnier, age twenty years; he was born June 17, 1872, and died on February 22, 1958, at the age of eighty-five. He was the son of Mitchell Ladnier and Anna Eugenia Lizana. Mary and Armogene had five children, Armojean George, Alphonse, Aubrey Lawrence, Olender Lawrence, and James Ladnier.
Nolan Louis Saucier was the son of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. Nolan was born on May 8, 1882, and he died on May 9, 1947, at age sixty-five. Nolan Louis was a grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Nolan Louis married Middie Ann Hester on March 10, 1904, at Gulfport, Mississippi, he was twenty-one and she was nineteen years old at the time of their marriage. Middie was the daughter of William Tarpley Hester and Mary Louise Furby. Middie was born on September 14, 1884, and died on July 22, 1938, at the age of fifty-three at Gulfport, Mississippi. Noland and Middie had seven children during their marriage, Thomas, Corinne, Lillian Alberta, Clara Belle, Nolan Pat (Reginald), Hazel Lucile, and Ruth Virginia Saucier.
Daniel Lee Saucier was the third son and fourth child of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. Daniel was born on October 6, 1882, and he died of a heart attack on February 28, 1957, in Gulfport, Mississippi at age seventy-four. He was a grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, a third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. On August 15, 1905, at age twenty-two he married his nineteen-year-old cousin Ada Elizabeth Saucier. Ada was the daughter of Calvin Jackson Saucier and Martha Ophelia Warden of the Beulah community east of Lyman, Mississippi. Both Daniel and Ada were great grandchildren of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise. Ada was born in Lyman on April 2, 1886 and died in Gulfport, Mississippi on June 24, 1953, at the age of sixty-seven. Daniel was the owner and operator of the Orange Grove Dairy in the Orange Grove area of Gulfport which was in later years operated by his son Murray. Daniel also worked for a number of years for the Mississippi Traction Company and the city bus company Municipal Transit of Gulfport and also operated Triangle Grocery and Market in Gulfport which was located across from St. John Catholic Church. Daniel and Ada had four children during their marriage, Lela Elizabeth, John Alvin, Jesse Cecil, and Murray Lee Saucier.
Roselia Saucier was the daughter of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. She was born on November 12, 1884 died on August 15, 1969. Roselia was the granddaughter Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Roselia, at age twenty, married Hubert Holland; age twenty-three, on June 8, 1905, in Harrison County. Hubert was born on July 16, 1881, and died on November 26, 1963, at age eighty-two. He was the son of Charles Holland and Sarah Mizell. Roselia and Hubert had two daughters, Mary, and Connie Rae Saucier.
Grover A. Saucier was the fourth son of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson he was born on March 22, 1886, and died on December 20, 1912, at age twenty-six. Grover was a grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. On December 18, 1909, Grover, age twenty-three, married seventeen-year-old Eran Ophelia Rouse who was born on April 1, 1892, and died on January 12, 1960, at the age of sixty-seven. She was the daughter of Henry Burwell Rouse and Cordelia Julia Redmond. Grover and Eran had one child who was born about a month before his death, Gelbert Ray Saucier. A little over a year later, on August 27, 1914, Eran Rouse married her second husband Grover C. Spikes of Saucier, Mississippi.
Fairfax Saucier was the fifth son of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. Fairfax was born June 15, 1886 and he died June 15, 1886. Sarah Saucier known as "Sallie" was the daughter of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. She was born September 27, 1890 in Lyman and died on December 29, 1974 in Saucier, Mississippi at age eighty-four. Sallie was the granddaughter Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Twenty-year-old Sallie and thirty-five-year-old Henry Lemaise House were married on October 30, 1910. Henry was born on April 25, 1875, and died on November 25, 1952, at the age of seventy-seven. Henry was the son of Albert Burton House and Julia Bellew. Henry had served for a number of years as the superintendent of the Harrison County Farm, north of Gulfport. Sallie and Henry had six children, Charlie, Sarah, Robert Burton, Hopper, Bryant Woodrow, and John Alvin House.
Calvin Pierre Saucier was the first child and first son born to Pierre "Pier" Saucier and his first wife Mary Jane Smith. Calvin Pierre was the grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Calvin Pierre was born in Harrison County, Mississippi in 1841 and died in the Battle of Jackson, Mississippi during the Civil War on July 1, 1864 at the age of twenty-three years. He enlisted in the Confederate Army at Handsboro, Mississippi as a Private in Adams Rifles which was part of the 20th Mississippi Infantry. Calvin Pierre was the first of the two sons of Pierre and Mary Jane to be killed during the Civil War.
Randolph Saucier was the second child and second son of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith. Randolph was born in Harrison County, Mississippi in 1843 and died on April 17, 1865 in New Orleans during the Civil War. He was 22 years of age. Randolph was the grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and his fourth great grandparents were Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Randolph was the second son that Pierre and Mary Jane lost in the Civil War after having lost Calvin, their oldest in 1864. Randolph enlisted in the Confederate States Army on August 19, 1862 at Grenada, Mississippi in Russell's Regiment of Mississippi Volunteers, which became Company E., 20th Regiment of the Mississippi Infantry. One service card shows Randolph as absent, sick, without leave, having left the Company at Jackson, Mississippi on July 9, 1863. The last service card that is available is for September and October of 1863 and shows him as absent and at home in Harrison County, Mississippi. No further service cards or information on his situation is available. It is believed that he returned to his Harrison County, Mississippi home and later joined the Union Army as a private in Company H, 1st Louisiana Infantry at New Orleans. His pension card with next of kin, his father Pier Saucier, has been located for his Union service. He died of Pneumonia at St. Louis Hospital in New Orleans according to Union records and is buried in Chalmette National Cemetery at New Orleans. Some genealogies show him as married to Eliza Ann, unknown maiden name, who was born in about 1848 and died in1928, but no information has been found to validate his marriage or any possible descendants of that marriage. No other information for Randolph is known at this time.
Laura Elizabeth Saucier was the third child and first daughter born to Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith. She was born on December 30, 1845 and she died on April 21, 1912 at the age of sixty-seven years. Laura was the granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, a second great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, the third great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Laura at age twenty-two married twenty-three year old Rufus M. Bond on July 16, 1868 in Harrison County. He was born on July 16, 1845 and died on March 11, 1918 at age seventy-two. Rufus was the son of Carroll Bond and Julia Ann Terrell of Leesville, Louisiana. Laura Saucier and Rufus had eleven children during their marriage, John Carroll, Mary Louise, Julia Ann, Juliann, Delphine, Martha Ann, Delilah Jane, Lorenzo, Emma, Elizabeth and Loren Bond.
John Carroll Bond was born on 4 May 1869 in Perkinston, Mississippi and died on April 29, 1940 in McHenry, Mississippi at the age of seventy. John was the son of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and he was a fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. On December 17, 1895 at age twenty-six he married eighteen year old Cora Isabelle Jordan, daughter of William Thompson Jordan and Mary McQueen. She was born on June 30, 1877 in Harrison County and died on October 13, 1958 in Jackson, Mississippi at age eighty-one. John and Cora had thirteen children, Laura Elizabeth, William Rufus, Grace Viola, Isham Monroe, Alva Isabelle, Verda Atkee, Bankston Vardaman, Una Estelle, Lemuel Lamar, Winifred Wynona, Woodrow Wilson, George Austin, and Edna Eloise Bond.
Mary Louise Bond, born in about 1870 and died in about 1961, was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Mary married Raymond Gallotte (Guillotte) who was born in about 1873, the son of Julius Bartholmy Gallotte and Josephine Quave (Cuevas). They had one known child, a daughter, Winnie Gallotte (Guillotte).
Julia Ann Bond, born January 8, 1873 and who died on June 18, 1928 at age fifty-five, was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. She married on February 28, 1895 Albert Gallion Bond. Albert was born on September 29, 1871 and died on August 4, 1903 at age fifty-five. He was the son of Dekalb Bond and Zilpha Jane Hickman of Flint Creek. They had one known daughter, Lilly Viola Bond.
Julianne Bond, born in May of 1875, and who died at age twenty-one in 1896 was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith. She was the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. No additional information is known on Julianne.
Delphine Bond was born on January 19, 1876 and died on April 20, 1956 at age seventy-nine. On April 25, 1900 at age twenty-three she married Washington Preston (Prentiss) Thomas. He was born in August of 1872, and died in February of 1941 at Gulfport at the age of sixty-eight. Prentiss was the son of Green Young Thomas and Mary T. Evans. Delphine was a daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Delphine and Prentiss had three children, Adolph, Helen Corinne, and Alma Ruth Thomas.
Martha Ann Bond, born on February 14, 1877, died on July 17, 1932 at the age of fifty-five at Mont Belvieu, Texas. She was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. She married twice, first at the age of nineteen to John R. Hestor, age twenty-three, on September 17, 1897 in Harrison County, Mississippi. He was born on December 11, 1772 in Harrison County, Mississippi and died at Houston, Texas on July 12, 1932 at age fifty-nine. He was the son of Americus Hestor and Josephine Head. Martha and John had two daughters, Mary and Velma Hestor. On April 19, 1922, at age forty-five, she married at Goose Creek, Harris County, Texas her second husband Oscar Alphons Wimberley, age forty-seven, who was born April 1, 1875 in Goose Creek, Texas and died at age sixty-one on August 6, 1936 in Goose Creek, Texas. He was the son of John William Wimberley.
Delia Jane Bond was born on Jan 26, 1879 and died on Jul 23, 1962 in Stone County, Mississippi at age eighty-three. She was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. She married William L. Hickman who was born on September 22, 1880 and died on June 6, 1968 at age eighty-four in Stone County. William was the son of Albert George Dawson Hickman and Canady Bond. Delia and William had five children, William Alvin, Myra Laura, Albert Rufus, Woodrow, and Daisy Hickman.
Lorenzo Loren Bond was born on August 18, 1881 and died on November 14, 1948 at age sixty-seven. He was the son of Laura Elizabeth Saucier and Rufus Bond, grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and he was a fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Lorenzo at the age of twenty-six on September 3, 1907 married seventeen year old Ovenia H. Ladner. Ovenia was born on February 14, 1890 and she died on February 28, 1963. She was the daughter of Thomas Vital Ladner and Beurisa Theresa Richards. Their three children are, Gladys Pearl, Rufus L., and Henrietta Bond.
Emma Espose Bond was born on August 8, 1883 in Harrison County and died on September 12, 1941 at Laurel, Mississippi at the age of fifty-eight. Emma was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand and was a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. She married John Dugal Dees who was born on April 15, 1875 and died August 5, 1944 in Laurel, Mississippi at the age of sixty-nine. He was the son of Henry Isom Dees and Nancy Missouria Calhoun. No descendants names have been found to this date.
Elizabeth S. Bond, known as Betty, was born on October 15, 1885 in Harrison County and died on March 21, 1951 at Laurel, Mississippi at the age of fifty-eight. Elizabeth, who went by the name Betty, was the daughter of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, granddaughter of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith, the great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and she was a fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. At the age of thirty-two, Elizabeth married twenty-four year old Daniel L. Russell on February 26, 1919 in Harrison County, Mississippi. Daniel died at on February 25, 1929 at the age of thirty-four. No other information is known.
Loren Bond, born April 21, 1889, and who died in June of 1962 at age seventy-four was the son of Laura Saucier and Rufus Bond, grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Louise Smith. Loren was also the great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursule Grelot, third grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, a fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix and he was a fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. He married Sinnia Elizabeth Preston from Greene County, Mississippi. Sinnia was born December 30, 1896, and died in March of 1978 at the age of seventy-four in Harrison County, Mississippi. Sinnia was a daughter of James Henry Preston and Lenorah Lankford of Greene County, Mississippi. Loren and Sinnia had six children, Edythe Evelyn, Dorothy Louise, Lamar, Eula Laura, Rufus, and Violet Marie Bond.
John Alvin Saucier, the fourth child and third son of Pierre "Pier" and Mary Jane Smith was born on March 8, 1846, and died on October 8, 1931, at the Jefferson Davis Old Soldiers' Home, Beauvoir at Biloxi, Mississippi. John Alvin was eighty-five years old at the time of his death. John Alvin was the grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. On September 28, 1876, at the age of thirty, he married fifteen-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. Sarah was born on April 10, 1861, and died on April 25, 1938, in the hospital at the Jefferson Davis Old Soldiers' Home, Beauvoir, at Biloxi after a long illness. Sarah was seventy-six years old at the time of her death. John Alvin and Sarah Dobson Saucier had entered the Old Soldiers home together on October 20, 1929 and resided there until their deaths. John Alvin Saucier enlisted as a private in the Confederate Army and served the entire four years of the war as a member of Company E of the 20th Mississippi Infantry Regiment. John and Sarah had eleven children, Laomia Lorenzo, Mary Margina, Nolan Louis, Daniel Lee, Roselia, Grover, Fairfax, Mary Jane, Talmage Dewitt and Louis Saucier.
Laomia Lorenzo Saucier was the son of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson who was born on June 21, 1877, and he died in April of 1964 at the age of eighty-six. Laomia was a grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Laomia married Fannie Hilda Rogers who was born on August 21, 1880 and died in August of 1934 at Collins, Mississippi at the age of fifty-four. Hilda was the daughter of Norvel Marion Rogers and Ellen Amanda Norwood of Covington County. Laomia and Hilda had five children, Willie, Minnie Rivers, Gladys, Evelyn, and Kenneth Saucier.
Mary Margina Saucier was the daughter of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. She was born on August 15, 1879, and she died on September 28, 1955, at age fifty-six. Mary was the granddaughter Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; she was a second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Mary was married on March 26, 1893, at age thirteen, to Armogene R. Ladnier, age twenty years; he was born June 17, 1872, and died on February 22, 1958, at the age of eighty-five. He was the son of Mitchell Ladnier and Anna Eugenia Lizana. Mary and Armogene had five children, Armojean George, Alphonse, Aubrey Lawrence, Olender Lawrence, and James Ladnier.
Nolan Louis Saucier was the son of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. Nolan was born on May 8, 1882, and he died on May 9, 1947, at age sixty-five. Nolan Louis was a grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Nolan Louis married Middie Ann Hester on March 10, 1904, at Gulfport, Mississippi, he was twenty-one and she was nineteen years old at the time of their marriage. Middie was the daughter of William Tarpley Hester and Mary Louise Furby. Middie was born on September 14, 1884, and died on July 22, 1938, at the age of fifty-three at Gulfport, Mississippi. Noland and Middie had seven children during their marriage, Thomas, Corinne, Lillian Alberta, Clara Belle, Nolan Pat (Reginald), Hazel Lucile, and Ruth Virginia Saucier.
Daniel Lee Saucier was the third son and fourth child of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. Daniel was born on October 6, 1882, and he died of a heart attack on February 28, 1957, in Gulfport, Mississippi at age seventy-four. He was a grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, a third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. On August 15, 1905, at age twenty-two he married his nineteen-year-old cousin Ada Elizabeth Saucier. Ada was the daughter of Calvin Jackson Saucier and Martha Ophelia Warden of the Beulah community east of Lyman, Mississippi. Both Daniel and Ada were great grandchildren of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise. Ada was born in Lyman on April 2, 1886 and died in Gulfport, Mississippi on June 24, 1953, at the age of sixty-seven. Daniel was the owner and operator of the Orange Grove Dairy in the Orange Grove area of Gulfport which was in later years operated by his son Murray. Daniel also worked for a number of years for the Mississippi Traction Company and the city bus company Municipal Transit of Gulfport and also operated Triangle Grocery and Market in Gulfport which was located across from St. John Catholic Church. Daniel and Ada had four children during their marriage, Lela Elizabeth, John Alvin, Jesse Cecil, and Murray Lee Saucier.
Roselia Saucier was the daughter of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. She was born on November 12, 1884 died on August 15, 1969. Roselia was the granddaughter Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise, second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. Roselia, at age twenty, married Hubert Holland; age twenty-three, on June 8, 1905, in Harrison County. Hubert was born on July 16, 1881, and died on November 26, 1963, at age eighty-two. He was the son of Charles Holland and Sarah Mizell. Roselia and Hubert had two daughters, Mary, and Connie Rae Saucier.
Grover A. Saucier was the fourth son of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson he was born on March 22, 1886, and died on December 20, 1912, at age twenty-six. Grover was a grandson of Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, a great grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; a second great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary of Colonial Mobile. On December 18, 1909, Grover, age twenty-three, married seventeen-year-old Eran Ophelia Rouse who was born on April 1, 1892, and died on January 12, 1960, at the age of sixty-seven. She was the daughter of Henry Burwell Rouse and Cordelia Julia Redmond. Grover and Eran had one child who was born about a month before his death, Gelbert Ray Saucier. A little over a year later, on August 27, 1914, Eran Rouse married her second husband Grover C. Spikes of Saucier, Mississippi.

Sarah Saucier known as "Sallie" was the daughter of John Alvin Saucier and Sarah Elizabeth Dobson. She was born September 27, 1890 in Lyman and died on December 29, 1974 in Saucier, Mississippi at age eighty-four. Sallie was the granddaughter Pierre "Pier" Saucier and Mary Jane Smith, great granddaughter of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; second great granddaughter of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, third great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, fourth great granddaughter of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fifth great granddaughter of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. Twenty-year-old Sallie and thirty-five-year-old Henry Lemaise House were married on October 30, 1910. Henry was born on April 25, 1875, and died on November 25, 1952, at the age of seventy-seven. Henry was the son of Albert Burton House and Julia Bellew. Henry had served for a number of years as the superintendent of the Harrison County Farm, north of Gulfport. Sallie and Henry had six children, Charlie, Sarah, Robert Burton, Hopper, Bryant Woodrow, and John Alvin House.
