David was the grandson of Pierre Phillip Saucier and Isabelle Nicaise; first great grandson of Philippe Saucier and Ursula Grelot, second great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, third great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and the fourth great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Gabrielle Savary. David was the tenth child and seventh son of Rosaline Saucier and John Bennett Evans. On August 5, 1897 when he was twenty-six he married his first wife, fifteen year old Mary Redmond who was born in 1882 and died on March 23, 1934 at age fifty-two. Mary died a tragic death near her home in Saucier, some family members think she was murdered and other reports say it was suicide. She had been in ill health for sometime before her death. Mary was the daughter of Wyatt Thomas Redmond and Rebecca Irene Dye. In 1938 David married a second time at age sixty-seven to fifty-seven year old Loren Liddie Alexander, called Liddie, who was born on April 1, 1881 died and on July 4, 1953 at age seventy-two. There were no descendants from either marriage.
Narcisse Edouard Saucier, the third child of Pierre and Isabelle was born at Delisle on December 28, 1822. He was called Narcise and sometimes Casness by family members. Baptism records list his name as Edouard Narcise Saucier. Narcise was the grandson of Phillipe Pierre Saucier and Ursula Grelot, the great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Pelagie Tixerand, he was a second great grandson of Henri Saucier and Barbe LaCroix, and he was a third great grandson of Jean Baptiste Saucier and Marie Gabrielle Saucier of Colonial Mobile. Narcise was left 40 acres of land and 30 head of cattle at his father's death in his will. Narcise was married three times, first at age thirty-one to twenty year old Delilah Cameron in 1853, she was born on May 30, 1833 at Biloxi. Delilah was the daughter of Jesse Cameron, a Methodist minister, and Lavina Stanford from Delisle. Narcise and his first wife Delilah had twelve children, Elizabeth, Edouard, Martha, Henry Evariste, Victor, John, Joseph, Alice Margaret, Narcisse, Louis Cornelius, William Lafayette, and Florien Saucier. Narcise died on September 7, 1906 at the age of eighty-three in Saucier and is buried in the family cemetery at Saucier. His tombstone simply has “Narcise S.” inscribed on it. His first wife Delilah Cameron died on August 11, 1893 in Saucier at age sixty, and is buried in the old Saucier family cemetery at Saucier next to Narcise. His second wife was Mary Florence Garner, and she was born in Harrison County on December 30, 1875 and died there on October 23, 1897 at the age of twenty-one. They were married in Harrison County on February 8, 1895. Narcisse was seventy-two years old and Mary was much younger, being only nineteen years old when they married. Narcise with his second wife, Mary, had two children during their short marriage, Flenor Corine and Clarence Eugene Saucier. There is not much information available on Narcisse’s second marriage other than it’s listing in the Marriage Records of Harrison County, where he is listed by a nickname “Casness”. He and Mary were married by local Minister Andrew J. Bond. Mary Florence was the daughter of Raymond Garner and Martha Pearce. Widowed again in October of 1897, he married his third wife on September 2, 1898, in Harrison County, Ann Elizabeth Holland, the widow Ramsay, who was born on February 4, 1875. He was seventy-five years old and she was twenty-three years old when they married. The elderly Narcisse's two marriages to much younger wives caused quite a bit of controversy within his family and in both of his new wives families at the time of their marriages and the controversy from those two marriages continued for long after Narcisse's death in 1906. Narcise, and his third wife Elizabeth, had three more children, Mary Laurentine, Noel, and Anna May Saucier. Ann Elizabeth Holland Ramsay died on October 10, 1951 at the age of seventy-six and is buried in the Confederate Cemetery at the Jefferson Davis Home, Beauvoir, in Biloxi where she had been living since entering the home in January of 1951. All total Narcisse had seventeen children between his three wives.
Some say the controversy over their marriage is why at her death in 1951 Ann Elizabeth was not buried in the Saucier’s family cemetery along with Narcise and his first wife. So far, I have not found service records for Narcise as a soldier in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, but for his third wife Ann Elizabeth to have lived in the soldier's home and to be buried at Beauvoir he would have had to serve in one of the state units of the Confederate States Army. There is also the possibility that Ann Elizabeth’s deceased first husband had served in the Confederate Army and she was admitted to the home on his military record. This information was usually recorded in the Inmate Registry for the Soldiers home when admitted, but for Ann Elizabeth it was not recorded or was missing from her records at the home.

On January 4, 1872, at age eighteen, she married twenty-six year old Sheppard Lott Herrin who was born in 1847 and died in 1899 at Picayune, Mississippi at age fifty-two. Sheppard was the son of William Herrin and Amelia Hatten. They had six children, Charlie, Alfred, Walter, Lucius Lamar, Emma Dell and Dock Washington Herrin.

On October 15, 1884, at age twenty-five, he married twenty-two year old Charity Ann Moore who was born in October of 1862 and died on October 4, 1939 at age seventy-seven. Charity was the daughter of William Moore and Elizabeth Perkins. Charity's mother, Elizabeth Perkins Moore, after the death of Charity's father, William Moore, had married Henry Evariste Saucier whose uncle, Pierre "Pier" Saucier, was Charity's step father, who had raised her from age five. Henry and Charity had seven children, Louis Alphonse, Louis Monroe, William Henry, Noel E, Sarah Caldonia, Emma Belgium and George Alvin Saucier.
Noel E. Saucier, son of Henry Evariste Saucier and Charity Ann Moore, made area headlines in 1913. The headline in the local newspaper, New Orleans newspapers and others on June 19, 1913 read: “Young Man goes to court to get possession of bride of four days”, a juicy story; I’m sure for that day and era. The story and incident involves Noel E. Saucier, the son of Henry Evariste "Hick" Saucier and Charity Ann Moore Saucier, the grandson of Narcisse Edouard Saucier and Delilah Cameron Saucier of Saucier, Mississippi. On Saturday June 14, 1913, it seems, Noel Saucier, age twenty years, and Mabel Dubuisson, age around twenty years, obtained a marriage license at the Gulfport Courthouse and were duly married on Sunday June 15, 1913 by the Reverend C. N. Woodcock, a Baptist Minister, at his residence in Gulfport. Following their wedding the newlywed couple went to their new home. Then, on Tuesday June 17th, the 20 year old bride’s father and mother, Frederick Sylvan Dubuisson and Laura Virginia Saucier Dubuisson, so the old story goes, went to the newlyweds home and somehow persuaded the young bride to leave her new husband and return to their home in the Landon area. With his bride now living with her parents, Noel proceeded to the Court house for a writ of Habeas Corpus to be served on Mabel‘s parents. On the night of June 18th the Gulfport Chief of Police Corbett and Harrison County Chief Deputy Patenote went to the Dubuisson home and served the writ, requiring Mabel’s parents to appear in Court at Gulfport at 2 pm on June 19th to state their reason, if any, of why they should not give up the bride to the groom. Judge Barrett was the judge that heard the case and the arbiter in settling whatever the dispute was. After some discussion by all parties, the judge decided in Noel’s favor, but the bride’s mind, it was stated, was not clearly made up as to whom she would go home with, her new husband or her parents. One reason the family would have been against the marriage was because Noel and Mabel were cousins. Noel finally filed for and was granted a divorce in 1914 and he married Minnie Bartner on February 23, 1916 in Harrison County, Mississippi. Noel E. Saucier was born on July 27, 1892 in Saucier and died on October 16, 1966 in Houston, Texas at age seventy-four. His second wife, Minnie Mae Bartner, was born on June 25, 1895 in Texas and died on July 23, 1961 in New Orleans at age sixty-six. Minnie was the daughter of George William Barton and Elizabeth Buffington of Granbury, Texas. Noel and Minnie were the parents of eight children, Ethel, Audrey, Minnie, Geraldine, Edith, Noel, Mamie, and Gloria Saucier.

On February 15, 1884 he married his seventeen year old first cousin Josephine Saucier who was born on July 2, 1866 in Saucier, Mississippi. Josephine was the daughter of his uncle and aunt, Henri Severin Saucier and Elizabeth Jane Tanner. As hard as the families tried, they were unable to stop the marriage between the two first cousins after they had obtained a dispensation from the Catholic Church in New Orleans to marry. They married against the wishes of both families. Victor and Josephine had three daughters during their marriage, Elizabeth, Luticia, and Theresa Saucier. Elizabeth and Theresa both died young, both during the flu epidemic of 1900.
John J. Saucier was the fourth born son and sixth child of Narcise Edouard Saucier and Delilah Cameron. Noel E.
